Coast Guard Revises Regulations on Hull Identification Numbers

The U.S. Coast Guard is updating its rules to enable American boat manufacturers to display a 2-character country of origin code alongside the 12-character hull identification number, aligning with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard, without requiring a separate label or border separation.
