U.S. Department of Homeland Security to Begin Collecting Fee for Nonimmigrant Student and Exchange Visitor Status

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will start collecting a fee from certain nonimmigrant students and exchange visitors, including those seeking F-1, F-3, M-1, M-3, and J-1 status, to cover administrative costs, with some applicants paying a reduced fee of $35 and others being exempt from the fee altogether.
