U.S. Government Requires Approval for MARPOL 73/78 Regulations

The U.S. Embassy in London informed the public that the U.S. Government needs to approve the implementation of revised MARPOL 73/78 regulations, which were set to take effect in December 2003, due to technical differences with existing tank vessels and the Oil Pollution Act of 1990.
