Coast Guard to Increase Civil Penalty for Bridge Violations

The Coast Guard will now impose higher monetary civil penalties for bridge violations, following the signing of the Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Act of 2004 by President George W. Bush on August 9, 2004.
