Coast Guard Establishes Temporary Safety Zone for Construction Project on Wantagh Parkway Bridge

The Coast Guard has set up a temporary safety zone in the waters near the Wantagh Parkway Number 3 Bridge in New York to protect vessels from hazards caused by construction barges and equipment, which are building a new bascule bridge over the Sloop Channel. Entry into the zone is restricted to authorized personnel.
