Coast Guard Announces Availability of Final PEA and FONSI for Shipboard Technology Evaluation Program

The U.S. Coast Guard has released the Final Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Shipboard Technology Evaluation Program (STEP), a program aimed at developing effective ballast water treatment technologies to prevent the introduction of nonindigenous species into U.S. waters.
