DEA Finalizes Rule Allowing Central Fill Pharmacies to Fill Controlled Substances Prescriptions on Behalf of Retail Pharmacies

The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is finalizing a rule that permits central fill pharmacies to prepare controlled substances prescriptions on behalf of retail pharmacies with which they have a contractual agreement or share a common owner, subject to maintaining accurate records and adhering to security requirements.
