Delay of Effective Date for Independent Contractor Rule Under the Fair Labor Standards Act

The U.S. government has proposed delaying the effective date of the Independent Contractor Rule under the Fair Labor Standards Act from March 8, 2021, to May 7, 2021, in response to a Presidential directive. The Wage and Hour Division is seeking public comments on this proposed delay.
