DEA Withdraws Suspension of Anabolic Steroid Exemptions, Reinstates 2003 Order

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has lifted its suspension of an interim rule from 2003, reinstating a 2003 order that exempted two pharmaceutical preparations from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) as anabolic steroid products, following reconsideration of a 1990 exemption application and comments from stakeholders.
