US Amends Regulations to Allow Irradiation of Sweetpotatoes from Hawaii

The US Department of Agriculture is updating its regulations to permit the irradiation of sweetpotatoes grown in Hawaii for interstate transportation, replacing the use of methyl bromide, and introducing additional inspection and packaging requirements for these sweetpotatoes.
