Notice of Availability of Draft Environmental Impact Statement for 2d Armored Cavalry Regiment Transformation and Training

The Department of the Army, USDA Forest Service, and FAA announce the availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the proposed transformation of the 2d Armored Cavalry Regiment and Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and long-term military training use of Kisatchie National Forest Lands, which includes thinning of approximately 21,500 acres of upland pine stands to improve habitat conditions for the endangered red-cockaded woodpecker.
