USDA Forest Service to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Iron Ecosystem Restoration Project in Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forests

The USDA Forest Service plans to analyze and treat approximately 3,000 to 3,500 acres in the Swauk Late Successional Reserve to reduce wildfire risk in the Iron Ecosystem planning area, which includes areas with high fuel loads and potential for catastrophic wildfires.
