Extension of Compliance Deadline for Site-Specific Projects in National Forest System Land and Resource Management Planning

The US Department of the Interior is extending the deadline for site-specific project decisions in the Forest Service land and resource management planning regulations until new regulations are adopted. The Department previously published a proposed rule in 2002, and an interim final rule in 2002 already extended the transition period for land and resource management plan amendments.
