US Department of Labor Delays Effective Date of Tip Regulations Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Until December 31, 2021

The US Department of Labor has delayed the effective date of the Tip Regulations Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) until December 31, 2021, to allow for further review and consideration of issues raised by the 2020 Tip final rule, and to finalize a separate rulemaking on the application of the FLSA's tip credit provision to tipped employees performing both tipped and non-tipped duties.
