Northwest Airlines Gains Final Exemption for Pension Plan Investments

The Department of Labor has granted Northwest Airlines a final exemption from ERISA and tax restrictions, allowing the airline to invest in Pinnacle Airlines Corp. stock and acquire a put option, while guaranteeing the obligation to honor the put option.
