HHS Solicits Proposals for New Safe Harbors and Special Fraud Alerts Under HIPAA

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking proposals to develop new safe harbor provisions and special fraud alerts under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, in accordance with section 205 of the law.
