FRA Issues New Rules on Locomotive Horns at Highway-Rail Grade Crossings

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is issuing new rules requiring locomotive horns to be sounded at highway-rail grade crossings to alert drivers and pedestrians. The rules also allow for exceptions in low-risk situations or when alternative safety measures are in place.
