FMCSA Withdraws Rulemaking on Intermodal Container Chassis and Trailers

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has withdrawn its proposal to regulate the inspection, repair, and maintenance of intermodal container chassis and trailers, citing insufficient data on the relationship between the mechanical condition of these vehicles and commercial motor vehicle accidents.
