U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Establishes Advisory Review Panel for Licensing Support System

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission established the Licensing Support System Advisory Review Panel in 1989 to provide advice on the design and development of an electronic information management system for storing and retrieving documents related to high-level radioactive waste disposal. The panel, which was renamed the Licensing Support Network Advisory Review Panel in 1998, continues to advise on the operation and maintenance of the system, now known as the Licensing Support System (LSS).
