Notice of Availability of Model Application Concerning Technical Specification Improvement To Eliminate Hydrogen Recombiner Requirement, and Relax the Hydrogen and Oxygen Monitor Requirements for Light Water Reactors Using the Consolidated Line Item Improvement Process
Notice is hereby given that the staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has prepared a model safety evaluation (SE), a model no significant hazards consideration (NSHC) determination, and a model application relating to the elimination of hydrogen recombiner requirements, and relaxation of the hydrogen and oxygen monitor requirements for Light Water Reactors (LWRs). The purpose of these models is to permit the NRC to efficiently process amendments that propose to remove requirements for hydrogen recombiners, and hydrogen and oxygen monitors from Technical Specifications (TS). Licensees of nuclear power reactors to which the models apply may request amendments using the model application.
