Federal Register Notice Announces Availability of Reports on Radioactivity in Sewage Sludge and Ash

The U.S. government is soliciting public comments on three reports from the Interagency Steering Committee on Radiation Standards (ISCORS) regarding radioactivity in sewage sludge and ash, which were prepared by the Sewage Sludge Subcommittee. The reports cover radioactivity levels in sewage sludge and ash from 313 publicly owned treatment works (POTWs) and provide recommendations for managing radioactive materials.
