NHTSA Expands Brake System Testing Options for Single Unit Trucks and Buses

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is introducing a new option in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard for hydraulic and electric brake systems, allowing for the use of roll bar structures during specified testing of brake systems in single unit trucks and buses, in an effort to enhance driver and technician safety during rollover testing.
