FDA Proposes Regulation Requiring Prior Notice of Imported Food

The FDA is proposing a regulation that would require U.S. purchasers or importers to submit prior notice of imported food, in compliance with the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002, which mandates prior notification by December 12, 2003.
