FDA Approves Deracoxib for Dogs with Osteoarthritis

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its animal drug regulations to allow the prescription use of deracoxib tablets by veterinarians for dogs suffering from osteoarthritis pain and inflammation, following approval of a supplemental new animal drug application (NADA) by Novartis Animal Health US, Inc.
