FDA Publishes Guidance for Optical Impression Systems in CAD/CAM Dental Restorations

The FDA has released a guidance document outlining the requirements for optical impression systems used in computer-assisted design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) of dental restorations, which are now considered a Class II device subject to special controls.
