FDA Issues Final Rule for Over-the-Counter Ingrown Toenail Relief Products

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has established conditions for over-the-counter (OTC) ingrown toenail relief products containing sodium sulfide 1 percent in a gel vehicle, deeming them safe and effective for human use, and removed sodium sulfide from the list of nonmonograph active ingredients in OTC ingrown toenail relief products.
