OSHA Proposes Update to Powered Industrial Trucks Design Standard

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is proposing an update to the design and construction requirements for powered industrial trucks in general industry and construction, incorporating relevant national consensus standards from the American National Standards Institute/Industrial Truck Standards Development Foundation (ANSI/ITSDF). Employers may be allowed to use non-compliant trucks if they demonstrate equivalent employee protection.
