FDA Requires Food Facilities to Register by December 12, 2003, Under the Bioterrorism Act

The FDA is issuing a regulation requiring domestic and foreign food facilities to register with the agency by December 12, 2003, in order to enhance the country's preparedness for a potential terrorist attack on the food supply and facilitate a swift response to foodborne illness outbreaks.
