FDA Releases Compliance Policy Guide for Food Facility Registration

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released a compliance policy guide (CPG) outlining the registration requirements for food facilities under the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002. The guide provides written guidance on enforcing the Bioterrorism Act and the implementing regulation, which mandate registration with FDA for domestic and foreign food facilities starting December 12, 2003.
