U.S. Designates Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) as Foreign Terrorist Organization

The U.S. government has designated the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) under Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended, following a review of the group's activities.
