FTC Amends Appliance Labeling Rule for Dishwashers and Reflects Current Electricity Costs

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has updated its Appliance Labeling Rule by introducing new ranges of comparability for standard and compact dishwashers, while keeping the current ranges for central air conditioners and heat pumps in effect until further notice. The update also reflects the current Representative Average Unit Cost of Electricity and corrects a minor water heater range table published in 2004.
