Social Security Administration Issues New Ruling on Disability Claims Involving Obesity

The Social Security Commissioner has issued a new ruling, effective October 25, 1999, that provides guidance on evaluating disability claims related to obesity after the removal of listing 9.09 from the listings, which was finalized on that date.
