Turbomeca S.A. Issues Airworthiness Directive for Makila Models 1A, 1A1, and 1A2 Turboshaft Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive requiring visual inspections and replacement of exhaust pipes on Turbomeca S.A. Makila Models 1A, 1A1, and 1A2 turboshaft engines with modification TU 200A installed, following reports of exhaust pipe cracking at several attachment tabs.
