The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy has issued orders allowing the import and export of natural gas, including liquefied natural gas, effective August 2002. These orders can be accessed on the FE website or in person at the Office of Natural Gas & Petroleum Import & Export Activities in Washington, D.C.
