Turbomeca S.A. Issues Revised Airworthiness Directive for Arriel 1 and 2 Series Turboshaft Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved a revised airworthiness directive (AD) for Turbomeca S.A.'s Arriel 1 and 2 series turboshaft engines, which aims to prevent centrifugal compressor impeller blade ruptures and power loss during flight. The revised directive requires the insertion of a sleeve in the attachment boss of the compressor bleed valve and bonding of the sleeve to the mounting pad, applicable to various engine models.
