MDA Releases Draft SEIS for Airborne Laser Program

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has released a draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for the Airborne Laser (ABL) Program, which analyzes proposed test activities at various military bases across the US. The SEIS assesses the environmental impact of the ABL system, a laser weapon capable of operating on a Boeing 747-400F aircraft, and is in line with the National Environmental Policy Act and the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations.
