USDA Establishes Emergency Pesticide Tolerances for Sorghum
The US Department of Agriculture has issued a regulation setting time-limited tolerances for residues of fluroxypyr 1-methylheptyl ester and its metabolite in sorghum, following a crisis exemption declared by the state of Kansas under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). The tolerances, which expire on December 31, 2005, allow for the use of the pesticide on sorghum to address a pest crisis.
