EPA Grants Exemption for Sucrose Octanoate Esters on Food Commodities

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of certain sucrose octanoate esters on all food commodities, following a petition submitted by AVA Chemical Ventures, L.L.C. under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) and the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA) of 1996.
