Medicare and State Health Care Programs: Fraud and Abuse; Safe Harbor Under the Anti-Kickback Statute For Waiver of Beneficiary Coinsurance and Deductible Amounts

The proposed rule would expand the existing safe harbor for certain waivers of beneficiary coinsurance and deductible amounts to benefit policyholders of Medicare SELECT supplemental insurance, allowing for price reductions and waiving coinsurance and deductible amounts under Medicare Part A or B for beneficiaries covered by a Medicare SELECT policy issued under section 1882(t)(1) of the Social Security Act.
