NMFS Announces 12-Month Finding on Petition to List Barndoor Skate as Threatened or Endangered Under ESA

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has announced a 12-month finding on a petition to list the barndoor skate (Dipturus laevis) as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), concluding that listing is not warranted at this time. The species will remain on its candidate species list.
