U.S. Extends Import Restrictions on Guatemalan Archaeological Material for 5 Years

The U.S. Department of State has extended import restrictions on certain Guatemalan archaeological material for a period not to exceed 5 years, following a diplomatic agreement with the Government of Mali, as mandated by the 1970 UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property.
