Privacy Act of 1974; Report of New System

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is proposing a new database, the Privacy Accountability Database (PAD), to track and report disclosures of protected health information (PHI) from various health systems, in compliance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
