FCC to Close and Terminate TCPA Docket, Open New Docket to Address Issues

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will close and terminate the CC Docket No. 92-90, a proceeding related to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) of 1991, and open a new docket to address issues raised in the proceeding. The FCC adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on September 12, 2002, seeking comment on revising rules governing unsolicited telephone advertising.
