Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Limited Model 427 Helicopters Airworthiness Directive Revision

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has revised an earlier proposed airworthiness directive for Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Limited Model 427 helicopters, requiring a different modification of the auxiliary fin and revising the Limitations section of the Rotorcraft Flight Manual to reduce the never-exceed speed for a tail rotor pedal stop failure, in an effort to prevent main rotor blade strikes, loss of tuning weights, and loss of helicopter control.
