DoD Issues Final Rule on Contracting Officer Qualifications

The Department of Defense has updated its Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement to align with the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2002, revising the qualification requirements for new entrants in the contracting field to serve as contracting officers with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold.
