Eurocopter France to Propose Airworthiness Directive for AS350B Helicopters to Address Engine Oil Tank Breather Pipe Design Deficiency

Eurocopter France is proposing a new airworthiness directive for its AS350B helicopters to require fireproofing of the engine oil tank breather pipe, following the discovery of a design deficiency that allowed for the installation of a non-fireproof breather pipe, in order to prevent the spread of fire and additional structural damage during emergency landings.
