USDA Determines Not to Conduct Referendum on 1991 Cotton Research Amendments

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has decided not to hold a referendum on the 1991 amendments to the Cotton Research and Promotion Order, following a sign-up period that ended on August 30, 2002, during which eligible cotton producers and importers could have requested a continuance referendum.
