U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Establishes 13 New Manatee Protection Areas in Florida

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has finalized a rule to designate 13 additional manatee protection areas in Florida, aimed at reducing the number of manatee takings and supporting the species' recovery under the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammal Protection Act.
