MMS Prepares Environmental Impact Statement for Gulf of Mexico Oil and Gas Lease Sales

The Minerals Management Service has prepared an environmental impact statement for nine proposed areawide oil and gas lease sales in the Central and Western Planning Areas of the Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf, in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.
