FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Short Brothers and Harland Ltd. Models SC-7 Series 2 and SC-7 Series 3 Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Short Brothers and Harland Ltd. Models SC-7 Series 2 and SC-7 Series 3 airplanes to address fatigue failure of critical aircraft structure, which could lead to reduced structural integrity and potentially catastrophic failure during flight. The proposed AD aims to extend the life limits of these aircraft by incorporating modifications, inspections, and replacements of certain life-limited items.
